GAIL MAZUR is author of seven books of poems, including Forbidden City, Figures in a Landscape, Zeppo’s First Wife, winner of the Massachusetts book Prize and finalist for the LA Times Book Prize; and They Can’t Take That Away from Me, finalist for the National Book Award. She was founder and for nearly 30 years director of the Blacksmith House Poetry Series in Cambridge and was the Distinguished Writer in Residence in the MFA Program of Emerson College. She is on the faculty of the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown and has served for years on its Writing Committee; she is also teaching in the Graduate Writing Program at BU.
