Laren McClung

Laren McClung is the author of Between Here and Monkey Mountain (Sheep Meadow Press). She received her MFA from New York University. Her work has appeared in reviews including Harvard Review; The Massachusetts Review; Painted Bride Quarterly; Copper Nickel; Cerise Press; The American Reader; PN Review; War, Literature and the Arts and elsewhere. She was awarded a Teachers and Writers Collaborative Van Lier Fellowship, and has taught year-long workshops in creative writing to residents at Goldwater Hospital on Roosevelt Island, and to veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan at New York University. She is co-editor of an anthology-in-progress, Inheriting the War: Poetry and Prose by Descendants of Vietnam Veterans and Refugees, and she teaches at New York University.
