My second book, Grass Whistle (Salmon) received the 2014 Massachusetts Book Award for poetry. My first, How I Got Lost So Close to Home, won the New England/New York Award from Alice James Books. Individual poems appear in a variety of journals and anthologies, including Nasty Women Poets: An Unapologetic Anthology of Subversive Verse, Barrow Street, Harvard Review, New England Review, Orion, The Sun, and Tin House. I’ve received poetry fellowships from the Massachusetts Cultural Council, as well as honors/awards from the MacDowell Colony, Vermont Studio Center and the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference. I’m currently the Poet Laureate of Northampton, MA, and the assistant director of the Culture, Brain & Development Program at Hampshire College.
