Scott Ruescher

I won the 2013 Erika Mumford Prize for poetry about travel and international culture from the New England Poetry Club. In the summer of 2014 Agni Online published my poem “Anthem” –and then followed that with an interview about the poem in its newsletter. My 2009 chapbook, "Sidewalk Tectonics," took the reader on a road-trip from Lincoln's birthplace to the site of Martin Luther King's assassination. My new one, "Perfect Memory," is forthcoming in August 2015 from Finishing Line Press. My poems have been appearing in Poetry Quarterly, Tower Journal, Harvard Educational Review, Naugatuck River Review, In My Bed, Dalhousie Review, Common Ground Review, and Short North Gazette. I administrate the Arts in Education program at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and teach English in the Boston University Prison Education Program.
