Pushcart Prize winning poet Ravi Shankar founded Drunken Boat, co-edited W.W. Norton & Co.’s “Language for a New Century: Contemporary Poetry from Asia, the Middle East & Beyond,” and has published or forthcoming 10 books and chapbooks of poetry and translation, including the 2005 Connecticut Book Award finalist “Instrumentality” and the 2011 National Poetry Review Prize winner “Deepening Groove.” He has appeared in the New York Times and the Paris Review, on PBS, BBC & NPR, and has performed his work around the world. He currently teaches at CCSU and in the first international MFA Program at City University of Hong Kong.
